Mind Over Money Matters
It was it Woody Allen who once said "Money is better than poverty, if only for financial reasons".
While we've all heard it can't buy happiness, most of us would prefer to have than have not.
So why does it seem that some people are better 'money magnets' than others? Is there a secret they know that would unlock the vault for you, if only they'd tell you what it is? The answer is yes.
The funny thing is they've been trying to tell you for years.
Almost all literature on prosperity shares the same basic formula.
From Napoleon Hill's classic "Think and Grow Rich" to Catherine Ponder's "The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity" the same ideas show up again and again.
And, it works.
It has provided results in all kinds of economies over decades for those who employ it.
So why aren't we all rich? The reason is that there's a big difference between knowing something and applying it.
Let's take a look at some of the key concepts that show up again and again, and how best to apply them.
Next Tuesday I'll be exploring these ideas and strategies at a deeper level at the SOWINS Speaker Series "Playing With Money, A Girl's Guide To Prosperity".
The first universal truth about creating prosperity is to let the world know what you want.
Let yourself know.
A vague idea that we want more is a pretty weak signal.
Just saying "I want to be rich, wealthy, or even just secure doesn't give your subconscious much to work with.
Figure out what prosperity means to you.
Write it down in detail.
The more specific you are the easier it is to start attracting it.
We all know it's not just about money or income.
Put the lifestyle components in there too, the amazing things you're able to do with and for others when you become truly prosperous.
State it out loud and often.
The flip side?Stop talking about what you don't want.
Never speak of lack.
Every time you vocalize what you can't do or don't have you are drawing to you the very thing you don't want.
Once you know exactly what it is you want to create, get yourself a plan and make it happen.
The books listed above have great blueprints for success.
Surrounding yourself with people who are on the same path you are on (or would like to be on) will provide additional support.
Some other important concepts to consider are selecting financial role models and choosing reading material that is worthy of the brain space you are giving it.
Our brain is going to create a reality pieced together from all the input we offer it.
Choose wisely.
What if it's really this simple? What if these formulas, ethical and reasonably easy to apply, really are infallible for creating all the abundance you could dream of?Would you be willing to do the work? Perhaps a better question is, "What do you have to lose?".
