How to Find Singapore's Best Tourist Spots
- 1). Visit Changi Chapel and Museum in eastern Singapore. This museum focuses on the imprisonment of over 50,000 soldiers and civilians in Changi Prisons. Visitors can look at displays of drawings, letters, photographs and much, much more, all of which depict the miserable three years many spent at the jail. The chapel is located within the museum's open-air courtyard.
- 2). Check out the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve in northern Singapore. This is a lush and serene area to experience a bit of nature within the fast pace of the city. This is a rainforest within city boundaries, and there are more species of trees here than in all of North America. Bukit Timah Hill is Singapore's highest peak. In this reserve, hikers will observe many butterflies, birds and lemurs.
- 3). Go to Peranakan Place on Orchard Road. Orchard Road is one of the most popular and stylish shopping districts in all of Singapore. Perenakan Place is home to various shophouses that were built in the early twentieth century. Many pubs are located in the former shophouses now, and the pastel walls and tiles make them a very interesting sight.

Sentosa Island is a beautiful island just off Singapore, and Underwater World is a great place to get a close look at many exotic and exciting species of marine life, including giant stingrays, white sharks, tiny damsel fish and eels. There are over 2,500 types of sea creatures living here.
- 5). Go to Jurong Bird Park in western Singapore. This is a large park spanning fifty acres that is home to over 8,000 birds from an astounding 600 species. The tallest man-made waterfall in the world is located here, and visitors to the aviary can get amazing views of free-flying birds from all over the world, most notably Africa and South America.
