Friday morning County Court at Law Judge Larry €Rusty€ Ladd was taken to Lubbock's Covenant Medical Center with serious, but not life-threatening injuries caused by a collision between his motorcycle and an SUV that failed to yield the right of way. His condition did not improve, and Friday evening the necessary authorities were notified of his death. Ladd was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. As of this article, no charges have been filed against the driver of the Jeep SUV.
