How to Fix Delta Kitchen Sink Faucets

2
    • 1). Turn off the water by closing both valves to the sink (located underneath the sink).

    • 2). Unscrew the set screw at the back of the Delta faucet with the Allen wrench and slide off the handle. Loosen the plastic washer ring with the tip of the screwdriver. Push it to the left slightly to break the seal.

    • 3). Remove the dome nut by turning it to the left. Use large pliers, if necessary. Slide the plastic washer underneath the dome nut off the faucet and take out the ball valve and seat springs from inside the faucet. Use the tip of the Allen wrench to lift out the seat springs if you have trouble taking them out.

    • 4). Coat new seat springs with plumber's grease and slide them into the faucet. Install a new ball valve in the faucet head.

    • 5). Replace the washer and tighten it by hand. Replace the dome nut and tighten it. Slide the handle back on the faucet and tighten its set screw with the Allen wrench.
