How to Fix IE Flaws
- 1). Download an IE repair program to the desktop, for example, the IEFix program or the PC Health Advisor program or the Error Fix Tool program.
- 2). Double-click the file to either decompress it to a folder on the desktop or begin an installation process; in which case, follow the commands to install the program onto the computer's hard drive. Restart the PC after an installation is complete.
- 3). Launch the IE Repair program by selecting it from the "Start > All Applications" pop-up menu if it was installed on the hard drive. Double-click on the program on the desktop if it was decompressed.
- 4). Click on the "I agree" or "Accept Terms" button on the program's main screen. Click the "Next" button.
- 5). Click the "Browse" button on the new screen that has appeared. Navigate to the Internet Explorer Web browser. Double-click on the Web browser to close the window and return to the previous screen.
- 6). Click the "Start" or "Repair" button at the bottom of the screen. Wait as a progress bar at the bottom of the screen fills in from left to right. Click the "OK" button on the confirmation window once it appears and the quit the program. Restart the Windows operating system.
