East Texas, which includes major cities such as Houston and Fort Worth, is home to many classic car shows. This classic car show is hosted by Bayshore Fine Rides, one of the largest non-profit car clubs in East Texas. It is also one of the older car shows for the area, going on its 23rd year. Held in early April, prizes like luxury grills are given to the top three car show winners. Registration price information is not announced until closer to show time.

The Temple Cruisin' Classics Car Show invites classic car owners to register to win in one of 35 different car classes, making this a more advanced competition. With live music and food vendors, even non-car enthusiasts can enjoy this car show held in late October. As of 2010, car registration is $15 prior to the show and $20 on the day of the show.

With proceeds benefiting several local Houston charities, this car show judges 30 classes of vehicle. This Halloween Classic also holds a competition for decorated cars, with a prize for the "Scariest Mode of Transportation." For kids, there is a costume contest, and other Halloween-themed arts and crafts. As of 2010, pre-registration for cars is $25 and $30 on the day of the show, which opens in late October.

The Classics in the Park Car Show in Quitman stretches across 26 acres, with 30 categories for car judging. Attendees can enjoy live entertainment, stop at one of the many food vendors, and visit one of the town museums that are open on the car show day, held in late August. As of 2010, the care registration fee is $20 and $25 on the day of the show.

Held in early August, this classic car show celebrates the history of Ford vehicles. As of 2010, Ford owners can purchase show spots for $30 in advance or $40 within a month of the show. This car show recently celebrated its 21st year and remains one of the more serious East Texas classic car shows.

This Corvette-specific car show occurs in late May at the Texas Motor Speedway. As of 2010, it is going on its 22nd year with all proceeds going to local charities. Previous shows displayed upwards of 600 classic Corvettes. Highlights include plenty of Corvette merchandise on sale and attendees have the opportunity to drive on the Texas Motor Speedway track.
