How to Make a Magnet With a Bottlecap
- 1). Grasp the fluted edge of a bottle cap with the pliers and straighten it slightly to move it from a 90-degree angle to a 45-degree angle. Adjust the edge of the bottle cap evenly with the pliers around the entire edge of the bottle cap so it is even.
- 2). Apply the glitter glue to the fluted edge of the bottle cap to decorate the fluted edge. This will become the frame of the magnet. Allow the glitter glue to dry completely before proceeding.
- 3). Select a photograph with an image on it that is small enough to fit into the inside of the bottle cap. Cut the photograph with the scissors so you have a circular photograph that fits perfectly into the center of the bottle cap.
- 4). Glue the photograph into the center of the bottle cap with the hot glue gun. Allow the glue to dry completely.
- 5). Glue the magnet onto the back of the bottle cap using the hot glue gun. Position the magnet correctly so it will fasten to a steel or stainless steel surface (refrigerator or stove surface, for example). Allow the glue to dry completely and then affix the bottle cap magnet to a surface.
