Filey - North Yorkshire is a rather petite town located in England, United Kingdom, which forms part of a borough between Bridlington and Scarborough on the North Sea coastline.
The area initially started as a fisherman's village, but quickly turned into an immensely popular destination for tourists because of its immense, pristine beach.
The area boasts an estimated population of approximately 6,819 inhabitants.
Apart from being a small town it's also a civil parish.
Filey - North Yorkshire can be found on the east side of Cleveland Way, which is a walkway; starting at Helmsley and passes by the North Yorkshire Moors.
This National Trail opened in 1969.
It also forms part of the northern Yorkshire Wolds Way which kicks off in the Hessle area and continues over the Yorkshire Wolds area.
The area is also the point of finish for a popular bike ride, beginning at a Racecourse in Wetherby and covering a 70 mile distance.
The towns' railway station is located on the Yorkshire Coast Line.
It also boasted with another station known as the Filey Holiday Camp railway station on the towns' southern outskirts which serviced a camp.

It is considered the largest coastal developments in the United Kingdom.

The boom has also led to a significant boost in the number of inhabitants in the town.
Filey's wishing wells can be found in the towns' Crescent Gardens and is considered a must see for all tourists to the area.
One is traditional in appearance, while the other is a smaller concrete model, depicting a town with houses and even a church, with a bell that needs to be rung with every wish made.
