How to Decorate a Wall Planter
- 1). Clean the planter to remove any dirt, dust or built-up grime. Use a mild soap and water mixture, making sure to rinse it off well and let it dry thoroughly.
- 2). Sand the surface of the planter lightly to remove any sheen or residue from past paintings. Use a soft cloth to buff off any residue from the sanding.
- 3). Paint the planter using paint that is specifically for the type of material of your wall planter decoration. If in doubt, bring it with you to your local home improvement store or craft shop to show the staff exactly what you are doing.
- 4). Seal the paint after allowing it to dry overnight. Use a spray sealer for smoother surfaces or a brush-on one if there are more elaborate carvings in the wall planter.
- 5). Add jewels or trimming with beads or prisms around the top and bottom edge for extra sparkle when you decorate wall planters. Use hot glue, or another craft adhesive of your choice, to secure them to the planter before hanging it on the wall.
