• White clover grows well in the shade and in the sun. It will crowd out weeds and fixes nitrogen in the soil. Though white clover does not tolerate heavy foot traffic, it is low maintenance, provides erosion control and will provide you with the great pass time of hunting for lucky four leaf clovers. Seeding rate is 1/4 lb per 1000 square feet or six to eight pounds per acre. White clover matures at about four to eight inches tall and can be cut to keep shorter, if desired.
