How do I Install Rab Outdoor Lighting?
- 1). Turn off the power by turning off the circuit at the main circuit breaker for the house.
- 2). Screw the steel mounting plate to the desired location over the electrical box with the two mounting screws provided. Use a Phillips screwdriver or a power drill with Phillips head.
- 3). Rab spotlights generally have two lighting arms that mount to either side of the light mounting plate. Manually screw the threaded arms of each light arm into the designated holes in the light mounting plate. Leave the lock nuts and screws loose until ready to aim the lights in the desired direction.
- 4). Screw the threaded arm of the lighting sensor into the designated hole in the light mounting plate, and leave the sensor lock nut and screws loose.
- 5). Bring the power leads for the light and the light sensor out of the wiring box to the light wires. Thread the lighting wires through the light mounting plate gasket before attaching the wires to the lights. Leave the gasket hanging on the wires.
- 6). Using wire strippers, strip the wire coating off the green wire about an inch. Secure the green ground wire to the box grounding screw by manually twisting the wire, then wrap black electrical tape around the screw.
- 7). Strip one inch of the wire coating off the two white wires from the light, as well as from the one white wire from the sensor. Do the same for the two red wires from the light, and the one red wire from the sensor. Then strip the one white and one red wire from the power source in the same manner.
- 8). Connect the power source with the lighting and sensor lights. Take the two white light wires, one white sensor wire and twist all the wires together manually in the clockwise direction with the one white power source wire. Take a snub nose pliers and give the wires two twists in the clockwise direction and then twist on the wire nut in the same clockwise direction and wrap with black electricians tape.
Do the same for the two red light wires, one red sensor wire and the one red power source wire. (ref 1 pg 49 spicing wires) - 9). Align the gasket around the wiring box, then use the Phillips screwdriver and the two screws provided to secure the wiring box to the light mounting plate.

Screw in the light bulbs by hand, then adjust the position of the lights and sensors. Secure the lock nuts by hand, and the screws for the lights and sensors with a Phillips screwdriver.
