How do I Save Banking Web Pages?
- 1). Press the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard, which is typically labeled "Prt Sc" or "Prt Scr."
On some systems this is a simple press of the key, while on others, "Print Screen" is a secondary key operation that requires holding the "Function" button at the same time. - 2). Open your graphics software. All Windows computers come with the "Paint" program pre-installed and usually listed in the "Accessories" folder under "Programs." Open this, or use another program such as Photoshop or IrfanView that can view graphic images.
- 3). Place your cursor on the canvas (the large blank area) of the graphics program and paste the screen image there. Use a Control-V keyboard combination to paste, or select "Paste" from the pull-down menu under the "Edit" option.
- 4). Save the screen shot to a permanent file. Use the Control-S keyboard combination to save, or select "Save" from the pull-down menu under the "File" option.
- 1). Click the "File" option near the top left corner of your screen while you are viewing the bank Web page you want to save.
- 2). Click "Save As" to open the file save dialog box.
- 3). Name the file of the bank Web page.
- 4). Select the file type. "Webpage, HTML only" is adequate for most purposes. You can also opt to save just the text on the page by selecting the "Text File" option.
Other save options are advanced features that are useful for e-mailing Web pages. - 5). Click "Save" and your bank Web page is now a permanent file on your computer.
