The Things To Consider Before Getting a Pet Dog
Dogs like wolves and other animals live in packs.
When they are born too, there is always litter of puppies from anywhere between four to eight or ten puppies at a time.
After a few weeks however they get separate when the owners give them away to other individuals for bringing them up.
Though now they begin to grow up alone, they still need the comfort of a pack or companionship to feel secure and comfortable.
When they are reared at home and do not have their pack for their comfort, the lack of security shows up in the form of behavior when they start digging, chewing, barking non stop and whining etc.
When the dogs are left out of the house where you have huge compound and large estate, the dogs seem to enjoy living outdoors and the company of its owners and other people who work on the ground outside through out the day with them for company makes them feel secure.
Having spend a day outdoor running around with hectic activity and with the company of people all the time, when evening comes they love settling down in their warm beds and resting peacefully.
Today things have changed.
The urban lifestyle means that the dogs are left out in the open to look after them selves the whole day and are given food and water.
The owners have no time to walk or talk with them.
They get to see their owners drive away in the morning to office and come back late evening.
The dogs are left alone with no company or interaction making them feel lonely.
You may be at home and your dog is outside.
But if you do not play with him and talk to him from time to time, he still will feel lonely.
Whenever you see the dog owners doing some work outside the house and the dogs are around them, the dogs look very happy and go running about everywhere with joy.
So people before deciding to get a dog home should be very clear that they will be able to not only provide for him and look after him, but should have the time to spend, play and talk to him too.
Otherwise it is a very bad thing to do with such sensitive animal.
