  Set in the middle of the state of Colorado, Breckenridge Ski Resort offers four mountains of terrain, a variety of hillside accommodations and a quaint old west town that has a multitude of shops and restaurants for idyllic winter nights when the ski day is done. While Breckenridge Ski Resort is set apart from other ski resorts in the area, there are several others within 20 miles of the mountain.
  
  

Breckenridge Ski Resort

• Breckenridge Ski Resort refers to Breckenridge Mountain. You will find there are several lodging choices on the hill, including hotels and ski-in, ski-out condominiums. The Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce can provide an extensive selection of accommodations. Depending on when you go, there are different ongoing specials offered (such as a stay and ski free package) during off-peak periods of the year.
  
  

Other Ski Resorts

• Breckenridge is situated in Summit County, the area known for its easy access from Denver to skiing. Four more ski resorts/ski areas are located withing 20 miles of Breckenridge Mountain. Vail Resort is the farthest away but offers the most ski-able terrain of any ski area in Colorado. Copper Mountain is a 15-minute drive to the west of Breckenridge and offers excellent skiing and a quiet central village. Keystone Resort is a 10-minute drive away and features an up-and-coming village ambiance with three peaks of skiing. Arapahoe Basin is just outside of Keystone and has some of the best steeps in the state.
  
  

Area Activities

• Only 90 minutes from downtown, the Breckenridge area is a popular destination for all seasons. Besides offering world-class skiing and mountain hospitality, there are a variety of other activities in the area. Trout fishing in the high mountain rivers and lakes, hiking and biking through fresh meadows and craggy peaks, rafting, ATV riding, 4-wheeling, hunting, dog-sledding, golfing and snowmobiling are all offered for visitors to take advantage of their stay in the Rocky Mountains.
