A Checklist of Things to Bring the Day of a Wedding

3

    Makeup

    • Whether you are having your makeup done professionally or doing it yourself, you need to have products on hand for touch-ups. Make sure to have items such as concealer, foundation, blush, eyeshadow, eyeliner, waterproof mascara and lipstick with you. Don't touch up your makeup constantly, but take a few moments at different points during the day to see if you need to use any of these items.

    Hair Accessories

    • The types of hair accessories you will need depends on the hairstyle you choose for your wedding. Items that brides commonly have with them on their wedding day include hair spray, bobby pins, a hair brush, straightener and a curling iron. Although you might not need most of these items, it's a good idea to have them with you in case of a hair emergency that you or one of your bridesmaids might encounter.

    Nails

    • Even if you get a manicure on your wedding day or sometime during the week before, you still need to be prepared in case of a nail emergency. Put together a kit with nail polish, nail polish remover, nail glue, nail clippers, cotton balls, a nail file and nail scissors. This way, if you chip your nail polish or one of your acrylic nails falls off, you can easily repair it.

    Clothing

    • Items such as your wedding dress, veil, shoes, undergarments, jewelry, accessories and garter are obvious must-haves. You also need to be sure to pack stain remover, a small sewing kit, safety pins and an iron. If you are leaving for your honeymoon directly from your wedding reception, you will need to pack ahead of time and remember to bring your suitcase with you.

    Contact List

    • It's a good idea to create a master list with your wedding vendors' contact information on it in case of emergencies. Make sure to include the names and phone numbers of your wedding officiant, wedding planner, photographer, caterer, car service, florist, bartender and reception site manager. This way you won't have to search for a way to get in contact with them if the need arises.
