Inflatable Water Sides - Rent Or Buy?

5
If you are looking for a good way to cool off this summer then water fun is always a good option.
You could either get a pool installed or you could rent or buy an inflatable water slide.
Of course the latter option is infinitely less expensive than getting a pool installed, and the bonus is that it can be stored away each season and doesn't clutter up your backyard in the colder months.
Inflatable water slides are made of soft material such as vinyl that inflate with air from a blower (which is usually included).
All you need to do is supply the water from a nearby garden hose and a flat piece of land and you and the kids can be sliding and having fun within 20 minutes or so.
They are also a good option for younger children as there is nothing hard or rigid for them to hurt themselves on like on a permanent water slide.
So do you buy one or rent it instead? Obviously that comes down to whether you plan on using your inflatable water slide once or twice for a special occasion such a birthday party, or whether you have a large family of kids and think you'll get a few seasons enjoyment out of it.
If you only plan on using a few times then it will be cheaper to rent a slide than to purchase one outright.
Depending on the size and style it can range anywhere from $75 for a small inflatable water slide all the way to $300 for a large one.
If you were to purchase one however you could be looking at around $200 for a small slide all the way up to $1,000 for a large multi use water park slide.
