All-Inclusive Resorts With Meals Included in St. Thomas
- About eight miles from the Cyril E. King Airport, the 31-acre Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort occupies a cliff above Water Bay on the island's east end. Steps and a free shuttle offer access to the private beach below. All meals are included in the rate, as are most water sports (jet skis, parasailing and wave runners are the exceptions), a children's club and other outdoor activities such as basketball, volleyball and tennis. Four restaurants, in-room dining and three bars provide food and drink from early morning until late night.
- Frenchman's Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort is on the south side of the island at Morningstar Bay, about 2.5 miles from Charlotte Amalie, the capital and largest city on the U.S. Virgin Islands. The optional all-inclusive package offers breakfast, lunch and dinner at the resort's two restaurants and two bars. Standard-brand liquor, local beer and house wine by the glass are also included, as is use of the resort's health club and tennis courts. Most of the resort's 450 rooms and 28 suites have water views.
- Bolongo Bay Beach Resort is directly on its namesake bay in the southeast section of the island, offering 25 beachfront rooms, 40 oceanview rooms and 10 studio or two-bedroom condos. The first St. Thomas hotel to be all-inclusive, Bolongo Bay offers all a la carte dining (no buffets) in its two restaurants, and beer, wine and liquor (premium brands are available at an extra charge) as part of the package. This all-inclusive option includes use of Hobie Cats, Sunfish sailboats, kayaks, windsurfers, aqua tricycles, paddle boats and swim mats, plus a complimentary scuba lesson. A second option is the European Plan, which does not include meals but does offer complimentary use of the resort's water equipment.
- The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas, a 30-acre luxury resort on the island's eastern tip, offers a twist on the all-inclusive package. Those who book one of the 55 rooms or 18 suites on the hotel's Club Level can take advantage of a continuous buffet throughout the day (breakfast, light snacks, beverages, sweets, canapés) plus complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in the Club Lounge, and access to a computer station. A compulsory $58 daily resort fee offers unlimited use of water equipment, fitness center, Wi-Fi, valet parking and fitness and culinary classes.
