The debate for new healthcare is in full swing.
I'm sure you're following the future of your healthcare as I am.
I've been unemployed without insurance.
The unknown can be such a scary time.
Take a minute to write these things down.
These are things I wish that I'd done to prepare for my medical emergency ahead of time to make the process smoother.
When you're mind is racing at top speed as our minds tend to do in an emergency, it's very difficult to remember exactly what you need to do when.
So I'm going to help you out, It's not fun to think about, but it's very important.
  Pre-Emergency: Don't take chances with your health it's critical to plan ahead.

       Find Free Clinics in your area, there should be hospitals and clinics available to help you in an emergency.
2.
       Call and ask if they have an Emergency room, good to know if you end up having to take an ambulance.
3.
       Ask what the procedures are when someone comes in, find out their hours, is it open twenty-four seven? 4.
       Ask if there is any documentation you need to bring, i.
e.
what are they looking for to verify do you need the Free clinic, would it help to have your prior doctor send over information to the clinic about your medical conditions so that they have the most information to pull from? If you don't have a life threatening emergency, know that you will probably wait a while, especially with how many of us have ended up out of work at some point.
Politeness goes a long way with them.
Stop for just a quick second and see where things are for them, this will better help you relate to them and get the care you need.
·         Keep very detailed notes; ask questions on anything you are not clear on.
·         Follow up with the doctor for future care, keeping your name in front of them is essential, especially when it comes to the paperwork process going smoothly.
 ·         Be sure to thank the staff, many of them are here long hours and see people in their greatest moment of need.
