How to Recover a BIOS ASUS
- 1). Insert the motherboard support DVD into the primary optical drive. This begins an automatic self-check from the DVD that detects the failed BIOS. The automatic self-check takes less than a minute to detect the status of the BIOS. The motherboard support DVD is a disc shipped with the motherboard in its original packaging. This disc contains all drivers and a version of the BIOS that was current at the date of shipping.
- 2). Allow the program to launch from the DVD to complete the automatic BIOS recovery procedure. No user intervention is needed at any point past the insertion of the DVD; however, the computer should not be restarted until the update procedure is complete. This entire process takes no longer than five minutes depending on the speed of the optical drive and a prompt appears requesting a restart upon successful completion.
- 3). Restart the computer when prompted, to allow the repaired BIOS recovery to take effect.
