  According to Tripwolf's Worlwide Travel Guide's website, Negril has the longest beach in Jamaica. The southern end of the beach features the liveliest entertainment and accommodations. Attractions and accommodations in Negril are primarily split up between two areas. The Long Bay Beach area is laid-back, with tiki huts dotting the beach, while a wider array of entertainment is found in the West End area where both high-priced resort and budget accommodations are provided.
  
  

Entertainment

• Rick's Cafe is an ideal place in Negril to enjoy the sunsets. According to its website, Rick's Cafe is open all day, every day. Rick's Cafe features Jamaica's only cliffside pool, ocean and cabana experience. Fine dining and and tropical martinis are offered at the establishment as Rick's Cafe transforms into a lounge after dark. Live music is offered courtesy of an in-house reggae band. Enjoy extra entertainment by watching cliff divers jump into the sea.
  
  Jungle Night Club and Sports Bar is a widely promoted nightclub and dance hall in Negril. According to its website, the Jungle Night Club is open every night until 4 a.m. (in 2010). Attached to the nightclub via a staircase visitors will find the Jungle Sports Bar which features six television sets, live performances and a full-service bar.

• The Tree House Resort is located in the center of Seven Mile Beach. Its central location conveniently positions the resort near an assortment of nightlife and restaurants. The resort has its own bar right on the beach, with drinks as well as food served. Additional amenities include a free breakfast buffet, free Wi-Fi in the lobby and beach security. According to the Treehouse Resort's website, standard room rates in September, 2010 range from $110 to $350 per night, depending on the time of year and room type. Room discount specials for lower rates are advertised on the resort's website.
  
  Cheaper room rates on Seven Mile Beach can be found at White Sands Negril. In 2010, White Sands Negril offers rates ranging from $57 to $300 for double occupancy accommodations. Children 17 and under stay for free. Amenities offered at the hotel include: a garden-side pool, a beach bar and grill, a sundeck on the beach, an airport pickup service and balconies or porches attached to rooms.

Water Activities

• According to Jamaica's travel website, Ray's Water Sports, located on Seven Mile Beach, is Negril's oldest and most experienced water sports provider. Ray's offers a catamaran carnival cruise which sails to Bloody Bay or Half Moon Bay with live reggae music provided along the way. Additional water rides include a water banana ride and a glass-bottom boat ride. Water sports provided or arranged by Ray's are: windsurfing, water skiing, snorkeling, jet skiing, scuba diving and deep sea fishing.

Wildlife Viewing

• Wild Crocodile Adventure & Tours is located 15 minutes outside Negril on a 900-acre private property that offers bird-watching and donkey and horseback riding opportunities. Guests will also have the opportunity to tour a fenced-in crocodile pond.
  
  Over 300 different animal species can be viewed at the Royal Palm Reserve that also houses 114 plant species. Animals to be observed include birds, butterflies and reptiles. The reserve is located 10 minutes outside of Negril in Sheffield.
