  When you purchase essential oils, be aware the cheapest price isn't always the best. An essential oil should be pure, and if the product is made with fragrance oil, perfume oil, or nature-identical oil, it is not pure. Vendors or manufacturers will label and sell products that are mixed with other chemicals, and do not contain essential oils only, so you need to be cautious as a first-time buyer. Even if a product states it is made with pure essential oil, check to make sure it is not distilled, or steam-distilled.
  
  Real essential oils will be packaged in amber-coloreded or darker glass bottles, not in clear glass or plastic bottles. Look for the Latin name of the essential oil on the bottle. Check the country of origin, as well as the extraction method. Knowing these key factors can help determine what type of soil and climate the essential oils were extracted from.
  
  Don't purchase oils made from higher temperature climates, it can affect the overall product. Remember--just because the oil is higher priced, doesn't mean it is pure and natural. Checking for all of the above will help in the purchase of pure and natural essential oils for candle use.
