How to Remove Water Stains on a Dining Room Table
Things You'll Need
Instructions
Olive Oil and Ash Method
1Create a mixture using 1 tbsp. of wood or cigarette ash and enough olive oil to make a toothpaste-like consistency. Stir until well combined.
2
Scoop some of the ash and oil mixture directly onto the water stain. Spread the mixture until it evenly coats the stain. Allow the mixture to sit for two minutes.
3
Buff the mixture into the stain using a clean cloth. Wipe up the paste and check the stain. If it persists, repeat the process until it disappears.
4
Wipe up all of the remaining oil and ash mixture with a clean cloth. Pour a small amount of wood furniture polish onto a fresh, clean cloth and polish the table.
Iron Method
1Preheat your iron to a low or medium setting with no steam.
2
Place a clean, dry towel on top of the water stain. Place the iron on top of the towel and move it back and forth for about 20 to 30 seconds.
3
Check the area under the towel. If the stain persists, replace the towel and continue ironing until the stain disappears.
