  With an original price tag of about $30,000, the 2003 Nissan Maxima offers a far more sophisticated color palette than the rainbow colors of a 30-cent box of crayons. The exterior colors of this sedan range from cool grays to warm browns to bold blues and vary by the trim level of the car, according to Edmunds. Interior color options also vary by trim level.
  
  

Grays and Silvers

• Grays and silvers dominate the upscale exterior color options of the 2003 Maxima. The cold, foggy morning feel of Sheer Silver transitions to the blue-gray waves of Sterling Mist and deepens to the darkest grays of Gray Lustre. These three colors are available for the base GXE, luxury GLE and sporty SE trim levels. Polished Titanium, captures the bluish froth rising from a stormy sea and is only available for the SE.
  
  

Blacks and Whites

• Nissan enhances basic black and white for the 2003 Maxima. Exterior color Glacier Pearl offers the brightness of white with a hint of blue and gray for a smooth finish while Super Black evokes the depths of a lightless night. The two colors are available for all trim levels.
  
  

Bold Colors

• Beyond gray, black and white, bolder exterior colors are also available. Sunlit Sand is reminiscent of a moody, light brown beach and is available for all trim levels. Particular to the GLE and SE trim levels, Majestic Blue conjures the velvety dark of deepest dusk while Merlot captures the richness and warmth of its namesake.
  
  

Interiors

• There are two interior color options standard for all Maxima trim levels. The Blond interior conjures smooth, sun-kissed sand while Frost is reminiscent of a sky filled with rain-swollen clouds. A rich, inky Black is an additional interior color option for the GLE and SE trim levels.
  
  

Color Touch Ups

• Touch-up paint for the 2003 Maxima can be bought at a Nissan dealership, according to Sunbelt Nissan of Augusta, Georgia. A half-ounce bottle akin to a nail-polish bottle and applicator is available for about $12 with a legitimate Vehicle Identification Number, or VIN. Detail and auto body shops can also order Nissan paint to accommodate larger jobs, according to Sunbelt Nissan. A slight difference between the original and touch-up paint might be visible because of weathering of the older paint.
