AC Specifications for the Honda CR-V
- Introduced in the United States in 1997, the Honda CR-V quickly became one of the country's top-selling compact SUVs. The 2011 CR-V came in four trims: the LX, SE, EX and EX-L, all of which came in both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions. Buyers could also select an optional navigation package on the EX-L trim. The original manufacturer's suggested retail price ranged from $21,695 for the LX 2WD, to $29.895 for the EX-L 4WD featuring navigation.
- All 2011 Honda CR-V trims came standard with air-conditioning, Other standard interior features included seating for five, cruise control, tachometer, tilt steering, tilt steering column, steering wheel-mounted controls, trip computer, tire inflation/pressure monitor, radio, CD player, CD changer, a second row folding seat and cargo area tie-downs. A cargo net and a load-bearing exterior rack were optional on all trims.
- All CR-V trims had identical exterior dimensions, each measuring 179.3 inches long, 71.6 inches wide, and 66.1 inches tall. All trims featured a wheelbase of 103.1 inches, a ground clearance of 6.7 inches, rack and pinion steering, a turning diameter of 37.8 feet and an independent front and rear suspension.
Standard exterior features on all models included daytime running lights, front air dam, power adjustable exterior mirrors, interval wipers, rear window defogger and a rear wiper. Fog lights, running boards, a rear spoiler, mud guards, an electrochromic mirror and a tow hitch receiver were optional on all models. - All CR-V trims came standard with a 2.4-liter, 180-horsepower, inline four-cylinder engine, and a five-speed automatic overdrive transmission. The engine produced 161 pounds-foot of torque at 4,400 rpm, had a bore and stroke of 3.43 by 3.90 inches, and had a compression ratio of 10.5 to 1.
All cars came with a 15.3-gallon gas tank. The front-wheel-drive models achieved a fuel economy of 21 miles per gallon (mpg) in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. The all-wheel-drive trims fared slightly worse, achieving 21 and 27 mpg. - Standard safety features on all 2011 CR-V trims included child safety door locks, power door locks, seat belts, a vehicle anti-theft system, antilock brakes, electronic brake assistance, traction control, a vehicle stability control system, power windows, keyless entry and driver, passenger, front side and side head curtain airbags. A first aid kit and remote ignition were optional on all models.
