Things Not To Do When You Are In Sydney

14
You will almost always get to hear or read what things you should be doing in Sydney and what Sydney hotel to stay in or look for. For a change here is a list of what not to be doing when you are in Sydney:

Australia is a super expensive country especially for travellers, though of course it does not diminish the value or the enthusiasm for the travellers. There are also many things you can do in Australia for free or is relatively cheap. So here are five things you don't want to do when you are in Sydney:

Tour the Sydney Harbour on a boat

Avoid touring the Sydney Harbour on a boat, for one it is definitely expensive and secondly it provides only limited fun. Instead take the ferries, which is a public transport between the suburbs and the various tourist attractions. You can get killer views of Harbour Bridge and Opera House when you jump on one of numerous ferries plying to Luna Park, Taronga Zoo, The Olympic Park or the Eastern Suburbs. This is not only extremely affordable but has twin advantage – you view the Bridge and House twice (while going and while returning) and also save time as you are heading to your next adventure.

Hire a car or tour the city on the HOHO bus

Sydney is a pretty big city and has many suburbs. There is no grid system here but just numerous hills. The funniest part is despite its size it is ridiculously easy to navigate. In fact if you stay at Sydney hotels in the CBD region you can do most of the rounds by foot. If you want to go to any of the tourist spots there is the 555 bus service which is a free service to most of the popular places. But if you need to go further into the city or to the suburbs just take a bus, train or ferry trip. These are pretty cheap and frequent too. If you need to go up and down frequently you may want to check on the different passes that give you access to one or all the services on a daily, weekly or per number of trips basis. You save both money and time

Stay in super expensive Sydney hotel just for a killer view

Five star and luxury hotels in Sydney can really empty your pockets especially if you are going there only for a killer view from their private balcony or the roof top restaurant as that website promised you. Most of the decently priced Sydney hotel will offer you more or less the same pleasure so check out for cheaper options before booking.
