How to Make Fake Braces for Halloween
- 1). Cut a piece of craft wire long enough to go around the front of your teeth add an extra inch on each side.
- 2). Make eight small square-shaped boxes (approximately 1/4 inch across) with aluminum foil. These will be the brackets for the braces.
- 3). Glue brackets to the wire with super glue. Space the brackets according to teeth placement. Each of the eight teeth in front should have a bracket.
- 4). Make sure glue is dry.
- 5). Sand the ends of the wire or curl ends under to keep them from cutting your gums or inner lip.
- 6). Place the braces on the teeth, centering the brackets on each tooth. Wrap the ends of the wire around back teeth to secure braces. Repeat the steps for an additional set of braces.
- 7). Braces can be made with duct tape instead of aluminum foil. Cut a piece of craft wire long enough to go around the front of your teeth, adding an extra inch on each side.
- 8). Cut eight strips of duct tape 1/4 inch wide and 1-1/2 inches long.
- 9). Wrap duct tape around the wire where the wire will be centered over your teeth. Duct tape should be wrapped until it is approximately 1/4 inch thick. Cut remaining duct tape.
