How to Make Eyes for Vegetable Animals
- 1). Break or cut a round toothpick in half.
- 2). Position the vegetable animal so the face is pointing toward you.
- 3). Insert the toothpick in the bottom half of the vegetable eye. For example, turn an olive so the pimento forms the pupil of the eye. Insert the toothpick on the bottom of the olive. Press the other end of the toothpick into the vegetable.
- 4). Cut a radish in half. Turn the cut edge so it is on the bottom. Cut a wedge across the front of the radish to form the slit in an eye similar to a cat's eye. Insert the toothpick from the bottom of the eye to the front. Do not poke through the front of the radish. Insert the opposite end of the toothpick into the vegetable.
- 5). Cut a round toothpick in quarters. Insert one end of a quartered toothpick into a raisin. Insert the opposite end into the vegetable to create the eye. Create a pupil in the slit of a radish eye with the raisin. Insert the opposite end of the toothpick inserted in the raisin in the slit on the radish. Attach the radish to the vegetable with another toothpick.
