Installing Virtual Server 2005

• 1). Download "Virtual Server 2005 R2" from the Microsoft website. Right-click the file, choose "Run as Administrator" and key in the administrator's username and password to start the program.
  
  
• 2). Click the "Install Virtual Server 2005 R2" button. Read and accept the license agreement. Click "Next."
  
  
• 3). Type the "User Name" and "Organization" in the "Customer Information" dialogue box. Click "Next."
  
  
• 4). Click "Complete Install" on the "Setup Type" dialogue. Click "Next."
  
  
• 5). Type the port to use for "Virtual Server Administration Website" access in the blank next to "Website port," or use the default 1024 port.
  
  
• 6). Click "Configure the Administration Website to always run as the authenticated user." Click "Next."
  
  
• 7). Click to place a checkmark next to "Enable Virtual Server exceptions in Windows Firewall." Click "Next."
  
  
• 8). Click "Install." After the installation is complete, a "Setup Complete" opens and providing a summary and status of the installation, click "Finish" to close the page and exit.
