How to Remove Perspiration Stains From White Cotton Shirts
Things You'll Need
Instructions
1Wet the perspiration stains with water. Sprinkle 1/2 tsp. of meat tenderizer across the stains. Rub the tenderizer into the fabric and place into the washer. Wash the shirts normally and inspect the stains before drying. If the stains remain, try another method before putting the shirts in the dryer.
2
Place two aspirins into 1/2 cup of warm water. Crush the aspirins with a spoon as they dissolve. Pour the liquid over the perspiration stains. Allow the aspirin to absorb into the fabric for two hours before washing. Pour 1/2 tsp. of liquid laundry detergent on each stain right before placing inside the washer. Wash the shirts normally.
3
Cut a lemon in half. Squeeze the juice from the lemon onto the perspiration stains. Lay towels on an outdoor table or chair and place the shirts on top of the towels with the stains facing up. Ensure the sun hits the stains directly. Leave the shirts in the sun for three hours. Continue to moisten the area with water as it dries from the sun. Wash the shirts normally.
4
Mix 4 tbsp. of baking soda with enough warm water to form a paste. Scoop the paste with your fingers and rub it into the sweat stains. Leave the paste on the shirts for two hours. Rub 2 tbsp. of white vinegar into the stains with a baby toothbrush before placing in the washer.
