How to Begin Embroidery Stitches
- 1
Insert a threaded needle from the backside of the fabric, and pull through all but an inch or two of unknotted thread. - 2
Hold the loose end down, covering it with stitches as you work. - 3
Or, make a couple of running stitches, backstitch and then cover those as you work. - 4
Slide the needle under existing stitches on the wrong side of the fabric if you have already started the design. - 5). Leave the loose end of the thread under these stitches.
