The Naina Peak is the highest among the other peaks of Nainital. Earlier the peak was named as the China Peak but this changed to Naina Peak after the end of China war in 1962. The altitude of this peak is around 2615m. The peak offers the tough challenge to all the avid trekkers. This peak is popular because it provides the splendid birds eye view of the town. The best season to visit the Naina Peak is from September to October or from March to June. The autumn season begins in the month of October, but it is preferred to carry the woolen clothes while visiting Nainital even in the summer because the place tends to become colder because of the excessive rains during summer season.
