Granola Bars
Use your favorite dried fruits and nuts, or use carob chips in this recipe for granola bars.
Preheat the oven to 350°. Grease the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking pan. In a large bowl, combine the first 5 ingredients; stir well. Stir in remaining ingredients. Add the fruits and nuts or other ingredients you like, as long as the mixture is sticking together in large clumps. With fingers, press the mixture into the baking pan. Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown. Cool completely and cut into bars.

- 1cuplight brown sugar
- 1/2cup light corn syrup
- 1/2cup melted butter
- 2/3cup peanut butter
- 2teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3cupsquick-cooking oats
- 1/2cup sunflower seeds
- 1/2cup flaked coconut
- 1/3cup wheat germ
- 1cup carob chips or raisins, orother nuts or dried fruits
