    Fingerprinting

    • The state requires repossession agents to get fingerprint scanning at a Live Scan office. The applicant must bring a photo ID and the appropriate paperwork. The site will charge a processing fee of $51 along with other possible fees that vary by location. The applicant must pay these fees on-site.

    Application

    • Applicants can get an application for registration at any repossession agency in the state and send it back to the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services at P.O. Box 989002, West Sacramento, CA 95798-9002. In addition to the application, he must send a $75 application fee along with two passport-sized photos and a copy of the fingerprint processing application signed by a Live Scan operator.
