How to Pluck Your Eyebrows Perfectly
- 1). First you're going to need to get yourself a set of really nice tweezers. I'm not talking about the kind you can buy at CVS for two dollars. You need ones that have a sharp, pointed edge. These will allow you to grab only one eyebrow at a time. They will also allow you to pluck out eyebrows which have just peaked above the skin surface, and it will be easier to remove your eyebrows in one pull instead of multiple.
- 2). If this is your first time plucking your eyebrows, a fair amount of discomfort is to be expected. Try numbing your eyebrow skin by holding an ice cube to your eyebrows for 5 minutes. Over time, your need to numb the area will decrease.
- 3). Determine your eyebrow shape. Every single person's face looks different of course, but there are many broad categories of face shape: circle, oval, square, etc. There is no one-size-fits all eyebrow shape. So, you need to determine which shape is going to fit you best. Here are a few hints:
1-Normally your eyebrows will be very dense in their natural shape, and then they will be less dense in the areas where they need plucked.
2-Ask others for their opinions. After all, your eyebrows are the first thing people notice when staring straight at your face.
3-Look at this website for advice: http://hairremoval.D106/od/eyebrowshaping/ss/brow-showcase.htm
If you can't determine what your brow shape is, consider going to get your brows waxed first. These people are experts in brow area. Then, as the brows grow back, you can pluck them. - 4). NEVER, I repeat, NEVER, pluck out eyebrows from the top of your eyebrow!!! Only pluck eyebrows from underneath. This will give you the most natural shape and look.
- 5). Don't overpluck. Especially your first time, it can be hard to stop. You think some are not laying the right way, so you just take them out. Don't do this! Stop for a while and come back if you think more need to be removed. If an eyebrow is acting funky one day, try some clear eyebrow or mascara gel to keep it in its place. Remember: once a brow has been plucked, it will take weeks to grow back. In addition, if a brow is plucked too many times, it may stop coming back altogether.
- 6). Consider coloring your brows. If you are a natural brunette but have died your hair bleach blonde, your black eyebrows might be a little harsh for your face. Consider a lighter brown color to soften your features.
