Engine Power and Economy

• The engine in the 1986 Toyota Corolla GT-S deserved most of the credit for the vehicle's performance, but there were other attributes that helped in this regard. This Corolla had a five-speed manual transmission, and the rear-wheel-drive configuration made sliding around corners at high speeds much easier.
