How to Make a Beat on Florida Studio Demo
- 1). Connect the MIDI device to the MIDI interface by plugging the "MIDI out" cable into the "MIDI in" of the MIDI interface. Turn the MIDI interface on, then power on the MIDI device.
- 2). Open the software then select "File" from the top menu and "New." Select the "MIDI" track option from the drop-down menu when prompted. Create up to five new MIDI tracks and then save the song by selecting "File" from the top menu then "Save."
- 3). Select the "Channels" option from the top of the menu then click "Set to." Set the MIDI channel to "1" then press the "ok" button at the bottom of the window. Arm "Track 1" for recording by clicking the "R" button located in the "Track View." Play the selected notes on your MIDI device to see if the software detects the MIDI instrument.
- 4). Press the "Record" button, which is located at the top of the screen on the right, then play the selected notes. Press the "Stop" button once you're done recording. Skip down to "Track 2," and select a different instrument sound from your MIDI device databank. Follow the above steps to record additional tracks and instruments; however, make sure you record each instrument on a separate track.
- 5). Save the file to your computer by selecting "File" from the top menu, then "Save."
