How to Save a DOC File As a PDF
- 1). Open the DOC file you want to convert to PDF format.
- 2). Click the "Office" button and choose "Save As."
- 3). Highlight the "PDF or XPS" option. If this isn't visible, click on the "Other Formats" option. If you are using an older version of Word, select the "PDF" option under the "Save as Type" drop-down menu.
- 4). Select whether you'd like to save the PDF file to be used for printing or online publishing, or only for online publishing. If you select the latter, the size of the PDF file will be smaller.
- 5). Click "Save." The PDF version will open up automatically (unless you have instructed the program not to). Your original DOC file will still exist as well.
