Internet Marketing - Think Niche and Grow Rich Part 1 of 12
Without question, the internet has been the greatest community builder in the history of mankind.
This amazing medium has made it possible for people interested in...
lets say collecting pencils, to find other people from anywhere on the globe that are also into that...
exciting niche.
Could you believe that if you search the term "pencil collectors" on Google, you will find 1,777,000 pages? How many pencil collectors are there in your neighborhood? That is what the internet has done.
The specialized world of niche marketing, which was once only accessible to the marketing veteran or genius, has been made available to the masses by the internet.
The internet and the tools that are now literally at our fingertips make it possible to research and target a specific market or group of people, and offer them exactly what they want.
As much as the vets would like to make you believe it, it doesn't take an IQ that equals the number on your bathroom scale to get into this niche marketing club-average person has an IQ of 90 so don't be offended by the scale thing, it includes most of us =).
So how do I get in on the action says the friendly reader.
Enough with the "You can do it" cheer says the friendly reader.
Well, it'll take a bit of work of course, but the steps are rather simple by any standards.
The key is having a website with great content that focuses on a niche market; people who are interested in information and resources about their very specific interest.
So basically, what you should do is take a market you are interested in, and break it down into smaller categories.
It may take a few levels of segmenting or grouping until you get to a true niche, but the exercise will open up amazing possibilities.
Maybe it's even simpler than that, and you actually have an interest that is pretty specialized or unique such as collecting pencils.
Look it up; Google it.
See what comes up.
You may be surprised to find a market for that special interest you have.
Once you have something you can put your finger on, something you can measure, then it's time to give them what they want.
In Part 2 I will be going on to Step 2, brilliant.
