  Abu Dhabi, part of the United Arab Emirates, is known for its wealth from oil reserves, temperate weather and scenic beaches. Abu Dhabi has a cosmopolitan yet laid-back feel, and it is not nearly as crowded as its neighbor, Dubai. Traditional Arab culture blends seamlessly into the modern luxury lifestyle of many of its residents. Visitors can take a leisurely camel ride through the sand dunes of the desert and stop at the famous and charming Liwa oasis, or shop in one of the palatial luxury malls. Although Abu Dhabi is a wealthy nation with fancy hotels and luxurious high rises, the budget-minded traveler can still have an enjoyable and affordable time in this emirate.
