DIY Permanent Blue Hair
- 1). Wash your hair immediately before dying to help the dye set.
- 2). Put on an old shirt that you are not afraid to get dye on, and the pair of protective gloves.
- 3). Mix the dye following the provided instructions. Check to see if there are any special conditioners provided that must be mixed with the dye in your kit.
- 4). Apply the dye to your hair systemically. Apply first to the back, using your bathroom mirror to ensure thorough coverage, and then to one side, the top and the other side. Be sure to work the dye into your hair, to avoid coating just the outside layer. Allow the dye to set for as long as the provided instructions say.
- 5). Wipe any excess dye from your neck, shoulders and face with a damp towel.
- 6). Apply shampoo to your hair in the shower and allow it to sit for a minute. Rinse your hair thoroughly until the water runs clear into your drain.
- 7). Allow your hair to dry naturally in order to avoid stressing it.
