Halloween Games to Play

5

    Gooey Game

    • Instead of handing out loot bags filled with treats, make Halloween party guests dig for them. This game is gross and gooey, and guests are sure to love it. Before the party, hide plastic novelty toys like spider rings, goofy eye balls or rubber worms in bowls of cooked, cool spaghetti. Pudding or custard also would work, as well as gelatin. During the party don't let them see what's in the buckets. When you are ready, line up the containers on a table and blindfold your guests. Let them dig in the buckets to find the toys. Have towels and a sink on hand to wash up afterward.

    Ghostie Fingers

    • Ghostie fingers is a game even small children can play. You'll need white Styrofoam peanuts, large spoons and some bowls. The Halloween game players put a peanut on a spoon and then carry it across the yard or room to a pumpkin pail. If a peanut blows off the spoon, the player has to start over. The trick is to move slow and not blow your ghostie fingers off the spoons. Divide the guests into teams if you like and give them a time limit. Whoever gets the most ghostie fingers into the bowl wins a spooky prize like gummy body parts. You could even have sheets with eye holes to dress contestants as ghosts as they play the game.

    Mummy Game

    • This mummy game is fun and frantic. Divide guests into small groups with equal members. Give each team a roll of toilet paper. Blow a whistle or give a starting shout. Let the teams wrap one of its members with the roll of toilet paper. The goal is to be the first to use the whole roll or the first team to completely cover the individual. When the game is done, those who have been wrapped look like a mummy. This game is fun for party guests of all ages. As a variation on this game, you can give each team a roll or two of orange crepe paper to turn team members into pumpkins.
