Information about Domestic Partnerships in Nevada
Beginning October 1, 2009 same-sex couples can register as domestic partners in Nevada. Nevada law permits domestic partners to receive access to essentially all the rights, benefits, and responsibilities under Nevada law that are granted to married couples.
Both same-sex and opposite sex couples may register in Nevada as domestic partners. Couples must declare that they have "chosen to share one another’s lives in an intimate and committed relationship of mutual caring."
