Campground Review and Description

Description:

Beautiful state park! We stayed for a week and toured within a close radius: Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, Norfolk, Petersburg and other historical places. Campground was spotless, quiet, and the camp hosts were wonderful!

There were large sites and lots of trees. We camped on the B side of campground with asphalt pads and graveled level areas. There were fire rings with a swivel grill and large tables. Camp area A is also nice but no asphalt pads and most sites are not as level. Both have outside entrances to showers and separate restroom facilities. It's a great place to ride bikes and walk. There is a nice pool although it wasn't open for the season. We saw eagles and osprey and many other birds.
