How to Cook Soup on a Countertop Grill

1
    • 1). Place your countertop grill on the counter and plug it into a wall outlet if it is electric and has an on-and-off switch. If the grill starts to heat immediately after plugging it in, wait until the soup is ready to go on the grill. In the case of gas or propane grills, attach the fuel to the grill, leaving the grill off.

    • 2). Open the grill if it has a lid and estimate its cooking surface. Some grills have a large cooking surface and in that event, you can utilize more surface area of the grill by cooking the soup in two or three pans, as long as their bottoms have contact with the grill's surface.

    • 3). Assemble the ingredients you need to cook the soup. Follow the recipe guidelines, or create your own soup recipe. When using more than one pan to cook the soup, put the ingredients in one larger pan, stir thoroughly and divide the soup into the pans equally, so the flavors have a chance to mingle equally in the pans.

    • 4). Turn on the countertop grill and place the pan or pans on the surface. When using a covered grill, make sure that the pan's handle points away from the heated surfaces, especially if the handle is Bakelite or made from a synthetic material.

    • 5). Turn down the temperature once the soup comes to a boil so that it simmers rather than boils. Remove from the grill once it has finished cooking.
