How to Make a Coffee Sleeve
- 1). Pull the cardboard coffee sleeve apart at the seams where it is held together by glue.
- 2). Lay the material you're using on a flat hard surface and place the opened cardboard coffee sleeve on top of the material. Using a marker, trace the outline of the cardboard coffee sleeve onto the material.
- 3). Cut along the traced line with a sharp pair of scissors to make an exact and precise cut. Follow the line carefully.
- 4). Lay the cut-out coffee sleeve on a hard surface.
- 5). Cover the cardboard coffee sleeve with glue and place the cut-out sleeve on it. Allow it to dry. This will insulate and make the sleeve more sturdy and functional.
- 6). Use colored duct tape to go along the sides of the coffee sleeve to seal the fraying edges of the material.
- 7). Remove the backing from the Velcro and place the tape on the backside of the coffee sleeve. Place it along the inner edge leaving a small gap of fabric.
- 8). Place the other side of the Velcro along the other edge to create a sticking action when the sleeve is closed.
