One of my favorite things to do in vicksburg ms, is to visit  ADOLPH ROSE ANTIQUES , In this store you will find some of the most rare, and high value antiques in the vicksburg mississippi area. 

If you enjoy collecting old junk silver coins, old indian arrows, jewelry, furnature, books, world war I & II items you will have a blast visiting this little antique store located on Clay Street. 

I remember visiting this store and seeing a wide variety of items at low prices for items that are usually priced much higher at other larger stores. 

Located in the historic downtown area, and built in 1895 by Adolph Rose, a vicksburg jew who operated his dry goods business

for forty years. This building was home to a furniture store from 1932 to 1963, and the Strand Theatre, which is located on one-half of the

first floor. At one point and time this entertained many of Vicksburg's residents. Then the building was renovated during the year 1992 -1995,

and now houses the antique shop and living quarters. This is not the only thing you can do in vicksburg, there is also the vicksburg military park which is located on clay street near the battlefield inn. 

This is one of the best places to walk if you enjoy working out in your spare time, or you can also bring your bike and use the long paths, for another great work out routine. 

There is also a lot of history in the Vickburg Military park as well a cool building that is dome shaped on the outside and art and craftsmanship on the inside. Me and my friend walked inside and saw a wide variety of designs that were featured inside this historic and unique building as well. 

Downtown vicksburg has even more places that you can visit when you go through the city at night and in the evening. Do you enjoy parks and recreation? You will find the park located downtown by the river to be a relaxing and fun for the whole family.

In the summertime you can bring kids to the park to run through the water and play in the small play pen located in the park.
