2013-2014 Yamaha Sport ATV Buyer"s Guide
2014 Raptor 700R
Yamaha's big bore sport quad, the Raptor 700R, is a torque-monster with surprisingly good trail manners. Powered by a 686cc liquid cooled, fuel-injected powerplant, the Raptor is a great choice for the dunes, the trails, and even playing around at the track.
The Raptor is a looker, and is easy to pick out in a crowd of ATVs. The Raptor boasts a hybrid steel aluminum frame and aluminum sub-frame along with a cast aluminum swing arm, giving it a light weight to go along with its great power.
The Raptor is considered a great trail quad due to the comfort of its thick seat and sport-tuned piggyback shocks, giving it a ride that can be aggressive, or laid back, depending on your mood.
The Raptor comes in two other models, as well - depending on your price point. There is the Raptor 700 Special Edition Model, which comes in a unique color-way and has some additional GYTR goodies, and there is the Raptor 700, which cuts to the basics and offers a lower priced quad with the same great performance.
