Tercel Torque Specs
- Developed by Japan's Toyota motor vehicle manufacturer, the Toyota Tercel was first introduced in 1978 as the Corolla Tercel. After five generations and more than 20 years of production, the Tercel was phased out after it was replaced by the Echo as Toyota's sub-compact model car. The final Tercel was offered in only one model, so engine and torque specifications do not vary.
- Powering the final model Tercel and creating its torque is a 1.5-liter, inline, four-cylinder engine with 93 horsepower at 5,400 rpm.
- The Tercel's 1.5-liter engine is capable of a maximum of 100 ft-lbs. of torque.
- To reach its 100 ft-lbs. of torque, the Tercel's 1.5-liter engine works at a rate of 4,400 rpm.
