Bridal Accessories For Conservative Brides

1
Being a conservative bride does not mean you need to settle for a dowdy look. Just because you are wearing a more modest dress than some brides doesnt mean you cant still wear an elegant gown and let your beauty shine through.

Some brides crave the attention that a dress cut down to there will give them. Others are just more comfortable showing more skin or cleavage, opting for a strapless gown, one with spaghetti straps, or one with a cut-away back.

Whether for religious reasons or just out of natural modesty, some women want more fabric in their wedding dresses than others. As a result, many designers today are creating gowns with high necklines, long sleeves or jackets meant to show a more modest side during the ceremony, but which can be removed for the fun of the reception.

Another way to introduce a bit of sparkle to your look has nothing to do with fabric and everything to do with the jewelry you wear on your special day.

Earrings

From the simplest posts to crystal drops, earrings are a great place to add some sparkle.

Start out simple with a Button Crystal Earring. This is for brides who want to wear an earring close to the ear. It has a post and clutch back. There is even a matching Button Crystal ring that finishes off the look.

For something a little larger, try the Crystal Open Leaf Earring, using 17 rhinestones in each earring.

With a little more drop to them are the 1-inch Crystal Linear Earrings with Pearl Drop. These linear earrings are accented with a rhinestone chain and a pearl drop, combining two great elements in the fashionable design. While they are eye-catching, they are still basically a pearl drop, which is in keeping with a conservative look.

A bolder look is again found in the trendy Crystal Linear drop earrings, these with round, clear stones dropping along a 2-inch chain.

Necklaces

Another area where jewelry can enhance your wedding look is around your neck. Chances are if you are a conservative bride, you wont be covering up cleavage with jewelry. But you will want to complement the neckline of your wedding gown with a sparkle or two.

A pearl necklace is about as classic a necklace as you can wear on your wedding day. It never goes out of style and is a great family heirloom to pass from bride to bride. Pearl necklaces are available in ivory or white pearls. One with graduate pearls in the front has crystal beads in between the front pearls for a brilliant look. Another variation is the simple Classic Pearl Hand-knotted necklace. For around 10 dollars, you can purchase a string of 6mm faux pearls on a hand-knotted necklace. The necklace is a generous 16 inches long and it has a 2-inch 14 carat gold-plated chain extender and lobster clasp closure.

If you want a reasonably priced stone necklace, check out the Classic Crystal Pave Necklace with a round stone center for about 25 dollars. The one brilliant round crystal pendant rests in a pave crystal setting. It is anchored on a necklace that measures 16 inches with a 2-inch extender. The chain closes with a sterling silver-plated lobster clasp. The necklace is available with matching crystal earrings.

Matching the Open Leaf Earrings mentioned above is a fairly simple Crystal Open Leaf Necklace. Like the earrings, the necklace is made with an open leaf motif. It measures 13 inches with a 6-inch extender. Alone or with the earrings, this shorter necklace will enhance any neckline.

Pins, Clips and Hair Jewelry

One of the most feminine places to anchor jewelry is in your hair. Whether you wear your hair up, down or tucked under a veil on your wedding day, there are pins, clips and headbands to bring a bit of jewelry to your hair.

For just a drop of sparkle in your hair, consider a set of six hair pins. They come with a pearl on the end, or a crystal or crystal flower. There is one model that each has four pearls and three crystals on the head of each hair pin. Use them in each curl of your up-do or maybe anchor one above the ear to hold up a tendril of hair.

If you are wearing your hair down, there are still some options to dress it up while still being true to your conservative look. Try a simple ribbon headband with a casted floral motif that is accented with gorgeous pave crystals. The ribbon holds your hair off your face and the floral motif adds just a touch of sparkle. You can get the same affect with simple metal slim headband with a fabric flower.

Even when going for a classic and modest look, jewelry can add the perfect complementary touches to your wedding ensemble. Find the perfect pieces for your special day now.
