How to Shave The Bikini Line
- 1). Trim excess or long hairs with small grooming scissors.
- 2). Don't start shaving when you first get in the shower. Wash first, so the heat and steam will soften the hair follicles.
- 3). Use a brand new women's razor; dull ones can pull the hairs causing them to become ingrown and irritated. Replace the blade at the first sign of discomfort or dullness, usually after 5 to 10 shaves, according to Gillette.
- 4). Lather the bikini line with a foaming, moisturizing shave gel. Let it set for a minute or two to soften the hairs.
- 5). Shave in the direction of the hair growth with short, slow strokes. Rinse the razor after each shave. Repeat until the area is smooth.
- 6). Dry off. Apply witch hazel with a cotton ball to calm the skin and avoid irritation.
